Prayer Letter: November-December 2021
Dear Praying Friends and Family,
We hope that you all had a good Christmas time, and that the Lord will strengthen you in the coming year. We’ve seen the Lord’s hand working in the folks here, people growing, leading people to Christ, and studying God’s word.
Much has been said recently about Russia’s troop buildup on the border of Ukraine. Russia has felt threatened with its loss of control and influence in Ukraine in the last seven years, and NATO bringing Ukraine closer to membership. Russia has been moving quickly to consolidate power in the places they feel their support base is strongest, like Belarus, Crimea, and Eastern Ukraine. There are fears that they have already let Ukraine get too far away, and the only choice is to launch a full invasion of the country. They are waving a loaded gun around to produce a reaction and test the resolve of the West. If nothing comes of this, we still may see the door close more in Russia. Already, we have fewer options to get Bibles into Belarus, and may see that happen in Russia soon. We were able to send Bibles recently to several places in Moscow, far East Russia, and the Caucasus mountains near the country of Georgia, and don’t want to see the faithful there be left without fellowship and access to Bibles. Please pray for this situation, that there would be no conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and for the doors to stay open.
We want to thank everyone who donated to the printing of tracts and New Testaments. We are excited to get new tracts printed and into the hands of lost sinners, and will be getting them completed after the winter revival. One tract that was recently completed is a comparison between the Russian Synodal Bible and the King James Bible, taken from my father-in-law’s book The X-Ray of the Synodal Text. It lists over 130 clear differences, as well as a list of all the doctrines that are attacked or hidden in the Synodal text. We will be including them in all the Bible orders we send out. We hear from people all the time about how they love the King James text, but this tract will show just how much God’s word was attacked in the Orthodox Synodal Bible.
We are preparing for our winter revival from January 3rd-8th. As usual, we will have classes in the morning and early afternoon, go out to witness in the mid-afternoon, and have services and preaching in the evening. We are looking forward to the arrival of at least 20 men from all parts of Ukraine, who will then return to their cities with zeal and excitement to serve the Lord there. May the Lord bless you with health and strength to serve Him in this upcoming year!
Love in Christ, David, Naomi, and Philip Lohman
