Prayer Letter- May-June 2015

May-June 2015

Dear Praying Friends and Family,

God is good and faithful, the only wise God in a world of wickedness and false religion. All around are reminders to continue Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)

Thank you for your prayers for safety to Ukraine and back. The Lord answered our prayers and it was a profitable time of blessing and encouragement. I am very happy to report that I made a proposal of marriage to Naomi Demopoulos, and that she accepted! Naomi has lived in Ukraine all her life in a missionary family, is a faithful young woman and a wonderful encouragement to me. We are excited about continuing forward and serving the Lord together in the near future. We ask for your prayers for continuing in the Lord’s will in our lives and our marriage.

Being in Ukraine was a good time of rejuvenation in the Lord, as it provided another close glimpse of the field that Lord has given me to labor in. There is more work than hands to do it: souls being saved, and people being taught. I was able to accompany Bro. Perry Demopoulos and some men that he works with to the town of Zamglai, near the border of Belarus. A small group of people have been diligently studying the Scriptures and eating up the Bible study lessons from the Bible Baptist Church of Kiev. It’s an encouragement to see people hungry for the truth, no matter how small their number or insignificant their town. As Christ said in Matthew 18:20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. It was a good reminder that the Lord may not call me to accomplish any magnificent work from our perspective, but to be available to work in any place with any people who seek Him. Ukrainian people are still curious or opinionated about the Gospel, and you can usually find conversation with people out on the street, as well as people who trust Christ and want to learn more about the Bible. I look forward to serving in Kiev in the future as the Lord leads.

I am continuing on the road to Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho for the next month. Continue to pray for me; for safety, strength, health, staying close to the Lord, and raising the necessary funds to get to the field in the Lord’s time. You are a blessing.

In Christ,

David Lohman
